FMDC’s dance classes for ages 3–6 are full of energy, imagination, and fun! Through tapping, twirling, and grooving to the beat, your little one will explore movement, build confidence, and discover the joy of artistic expression. Come join the fun!
Registration is open for Season 8. Classes begin the week of August 18th. FMDC does accept enrollments throughout the season. We can’t wait to dance with you this season!
FMDC offers multiple age groups to find the perfect class for your dancer.
Get ready to twirl, tap, and leap into fun! This 45 minute class introduces young dancers to the exciting world of ballet and tap. With playful movement, catchy rhythms, and cool choreo, dancers will start building a strong foundation in both styles—all in a positive, encouraging environment where learning feels like a dance party!
Twirl adds a dash of glitter and a whole lot of fun to our ballet/tap combo classes. Each dancer gets their very own Twirl activity book—bright, colorful, and packed with magical learning—and a fancy ribbon just waiting to be bedazzled!
Once a month, we celebrate Twirl Day—a super special class filled with decorations, music, and extra sparkle. It’s the highlight of the month! Dancers use their activity books and when they master a new skill, they earn a sparkly rhinestone to add to their ribbon. (Yes, it’s as awesome as it sounds!)
All Twirl treasures (books/ribbons) stay safely at the studio until the end of the season, when dancers take everything home—including their fully decorated ribbon! And the grand finale? A Twirl Graduation in May, complete with celebration and confetti!
Year End Show: They will perform a ballet and tap combo in the year end show.

What to wear for Twirl Pink: All Twirl Yellow dancers need a pink leotard (purchased through FMDC), pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes and a dance bag. Hair is pulled back away from the face, preferably in a bun.

This high-energy one-hour class combines the sass of jazz with the cool beats of hip hop—perfect for young dancers who love to dance with style and confidence. From sharp jazz kicks to funky hip hop footwork, dancers build skills, coordination, and stage presence while having a blast!
Every class is fast-paced and full of fun—think upbeat music, fresh choreography, and tons of movement to keep dancers engaged from warm-up to final pose. Plus, once a month, we turn up the excitement with a Twirl Day! The studio gets decked out, and we dive into dance games, freestyle fun, and special challenges using colorful activity sheets and progress trackers.
Dancers each get their own Twirl Tracker, and as they master new moves, they mark their progress like true dance stars! Everything stays at the studio until our awesome Twirl Graduation in May—complete with music, celebration, and big smiles all around.
Year End Show: They will perform a jazz dance and a hip hop dance in the year end show.

What to wear for Jazz/Hip Hop Yellow: All Jazz/Hip Hop dancers dancers wear a biketard (any color) or Twirl leotard, black jazz shoes, hip hop sneakers (any fun and stylish sneakers only worn inside) and bring a dance bag. Hair is pulled back out of the face in a pony tail.

Get ready to flip, roll, and dance like never before! AcroDance is a super fun mix of dancing and cool acrobatics—kind of like being a gymnast and a dancer at the same time! In this class, we’ll hop, skip, jump, and twirl while learning awesome moves like handstands, bridges, balances, and cartwheels. You’ll build strength, flexibility, and confidence—all while having a blast with music and friends. No bouncy floor needed—just your amazing energy and big smiles!
Enrollment in 1 additional class is a prerequisite for participation in our Acro program.
Year End Show: Acro Yellow will not participate in the Year End Show.
What to wear for Acro Yellow: All Acro Yellow dancers wear a biketard (any color) or Twirl leotard and bring a dance bag. Barefeet are required for safe and effective participation. If the student is coming from a Twirl class, convertible tights may be worn. Hair must be pulled back securely and kept out of the face to ensure safety and focus during movement.

This upbeat one-hour class is perfect for young dancers ready to grow their ballet and tap skills in a fun, high-energy environment. The music is lively, the movement is nonstop, and every class is designed to keep dancers smiling, learning, and moving!
But the real excitement? Twist Day! Once a month, we transform the studio with decorations, games, colorful activity sheets, and our special skill trackers. It’s a celebration of progress, play, and pizzazz—and no one ever wants to miss it!
Each dancer gets their own Twist Tracker to follow their journey and learn new dance terms in a way that feels like a game. All materials stay safe at the studio until the end of the season, when we wrap things up with a fabulous Twist Graduation Party in May—complete with celebration, fun, and lots of proud moments!
